Perennial herb to 0.12 m high. Flower stalks hairless or sparsely bristly. Leaves in a basal rosette, 0.5–1.5 cm long, 5-15 mm wide, thick and more or less fleshy, lower surface paler, both surfaces hairless or the upper surface sparsely bristly, bases cordate; margins curved down, and entire or finely scalloped.. Flowers white, yellowish green, or tinged red, with 5 petals, about 2.5 mm in diameter, in clusters of about 10–30 flowers. Flowers summer.
