Sandstone rock ledges and wet cliff faces. Coast, ranges, and the eastern edge of the tablelands, north from Pigeon House (Mtn) west of Ulladulla.
Shrub to 1.5 m high or sprawling. Prominent scars from fallen leaves ringing the branches. Leaves alternating up the stems, crowded towards the ends of the branches, often overlapping, spreading, usually 5–14 cm long, 5–12 mm wide, hairless, tips gradually tapering to a point, base broadly sheathing; margins entire or finely toothed. Flowers white to pink or reddish, tubular, the tube 5–8 mm long; with 5 lobes each 1.5–2 mm long, erect or spreading. Flowers in narrow clusters 5–15 cm long, mostly on one side of the stem. Flowering: mainly August–December
