Grows on heavy soils. Sydney area. Ranges and tablelands north of the Hume Highway. Western Slopes.
Perennial or annual herb, twining or prostrate. Stems angular. Leaves alternating up the stems, 1.5-2 cm long, 3-5 mm wide, thin, upper surface becoming hairless, lower surface mealy when young, tips pointed. Lower leaves approximately triangular with two backward pointing pointed lobes at the base, or lance head shaped; upper leaves lance head shaped. Flowers small, with 5 'petals'. Flower clusters spike-like or reduced to clusters at the bases of the leaves. Seed cases dry at maturity.
