Dry forest on rocky ground, sandstone ledges, and cliff faces. From north of Mount Wilson in the Blue Mountains and south to the mountains west of Picton.
Erect shrub to 1.5 m high. Branches with prominent leaf scars. Branchlets hairy. Leaves crowded, erect, 1–2.8 cm long, 1.8–3.1 mm wide, margins entire or fringed with minute hairs towards the leaf bases or overall; blades more or less thin, flat, tips pointed. Flowers white or cream, tubular, the tube 1.3–2 mm long, with 5 spreading lobes each 4–6.3 mm long. Sepals 5.5–6 mm long. Flowers single at the base of the crowded leaves. Flowering: September–February.
