Woodland, grassy areas, and disturbed sites. ACT and nearby. Western Slopes. Occasionally elsewhere.
Introduced annual herb to 0.5 m tall or sprawling. Stems often with stiff hairs towards the base, but often becoming hairless below and more or less densely sticky hairy above. Leaves 3-14 cm long, 10-40 mm wide, hairy, toothed. Basal leaves deeply dissected, stem leaves opposite each other, smaller than the basal leaves. Flowers blue to mauve-pink or pink, with 5 petals each 6-15 mm long or more, in clusters of 1-3 flowers. Flowers Winter to Summer.
