Where found

Woodland. Coast and ranges north from Jervis Bay.

Notes

Tree to 15 m tall.  Bark smooth, with prominent scribbles, shedding in short ribbons.  Juvenile stems rounded in cross section, warty on the lower part of the stem.  Juvenile leaves 7-15 cm long, 20-60 mm wide, opposite each other, stalkless or with short stalks, for 5-6 pairs, then alternating up the stems, stalked, dull, grey-green to blue-green. Adult leaves alternating up the stems, 9-21 cm long, 15-40 mm wide, glossy to dull, green or grey-green.  Flowers white, with 0 petals.  Flower clusters 9-15 flowered.  Mature flower buds 4–8 mm long, caps shorter than the base. A few outer stamens not producing pollen.  Flowers Winter-Spring.  Gumnuts 6-11 mm in diameter.  Gumnuts that have dropped their seed have valves that are not very noticeable.

Extensive intergradation occurs with Eucalyptus racemosa
