Disturbed sites and moist areas. Sydney area and the ACT. Widespread elsewhere but not common.
Introduced annual herb or climber to 0.75 m tall. Leaves opposite each other and alternating up the stems, hairless, deeply dissected, appearing compound, fern-like, segments to 5 mm long and more than 2 mm wide. Flowers 7-13 mm long, with 2 small white or pink sepals, one on either side of the flower, and 4 petals (white or pink with or without purplish tips) forming 2 lips, in clusters of 15-25, the clusters at least as long as the flower stalk. Seed cases distinctly wrinkled when dry. Flowers all year.
