Forest margins, woodland, grassy areas, roadsides, disturbed sites, and along streams. Widespread, mainly ACT and north of Moss Vale - coast, ranges, and Southern Highlands.
Introduced shrub to 3 m tall. Stems ridged, hairy, becoming hairless. Leaves alternating up the stems, compound, with 3 leaflets, each 0.5-3 cm long, 2-15 mm wide, sparsely appressed-hairy, often becoming hairless above, tips mucronate. Flowers yellow, mostly 8-13 mm long, pea shaped, with 5 petals, 2 joined together to form the keel, in clusters of 3-7 flowers, continuing down the stem. Flowers Winter to Summer.
A Weed of National Significance. General Biosecurity Duty with additional restrictions all NSW. Pest plant ACT. Noxious weed Vic.
