Damp places in grassland and among sedges. Namadgi National Park, ACT. Not been seen since 1992. The records referred to in PlantNET near Bombala are from 1887.
Annual herb to 0.05 m high. Basal leaves usually 2 pairs, to 0.8 cm long; margins smooth to rough with minute projections. Stem leaves opposite each other, similar to the lower leaves, becoming smaller and thicker up the stem, 0.4–0.6 mm long. Flowers greenish outside and pale blue inside, 5–8 mm long, tubular with 5 spreading lobes. Flowers 1–3 per plant. Flowers only open in sunny conditions. Flowering: Autumn.
Endangered Australia. Endangered NSW. Provisions of the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 No 63 relating to the protection of protected plants generally also apply to plants that are a threatened species.
Endangered ACT. All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
