Grassy understorey of open montane to subalpine forest and woodland. Kosciuszko National Park south of Talbingo, Namadgi National Park, ACT, and Scabby Range between them.
Annual or biennial herb. Flowering stems to 0.40 m high or sprawling. Basal leaves 2–4 cm long, 5–10 mm wide, tips blunt to somewhat pointed. Stem leaves opposite each other, 1.5–3 cm long, 3–7 mm wide. Flowers white or cream with grey to violet or inconspicuous veins, tubular, the tube about 4 mm long, with 4 or 5 lobes to 9 mm long. Flower clusters usually 1-9 flowered. Flowers Sep.–Jan..
