Woodland and grassland at higher altitudes. ACT, the mountains to the west, and Kosciuszko National Park.
Perennial herb to 0.50 m high or sprawling. Stems covered in soft hairs with dense spreading hairs. Leaves basal and opposite each other. Stem leaves 1–2 cm long, 10–30 mm wide, hairy, almost round to kidney shaped, with 5–7-lobes mostly divided into 3 blunt secondary lobes. Flowers pink, paler towards the base of the petals, with 5 petals each about 6 mm long. Anthers white to yellow. Sepals hairy with fine hairs with scattered longer hairs especially towards the base, 5–7 mm long, tips blunt. Flowers single. Flowering: summer. Seeds dark brown with small obscure pits (needs a hand lens or a macro app on your phone/tablet to see).
