Damp sites and places subject to inundation. Mainly Western Slopes, rarely on the tablelands.

Notes

Annual or perennial herb to 0.5 m high. Stems almost hairless. Leaves mostly basal, a few alternating up the stems, 2.5–17 cm long, 1–5 mm wide, thick, tips pointed, surfaces hairless, margins entire or toothed. Flowers yellow, 7–10 mm long, tubular, the tube split to the base, with 5 lobes, 2-lipped. Flowers on stalks to 50 mm long, in loose clusters on branched stalks. Flowers throughout the year.Seeds almost round, about 0.5 mm in diameter, brown.
