A variety of situations often on rocky sites. Mainly Blue Mountains and south to the ranges west of Wollongong. Rarely elsewhere.
Sticky shrub to about 1.5 m high, with glandular and simple hairs. Leaves alternating up the stems, 2–5 cm long, to 60 mm wide, bases blunt to cordate, margins toothed. Flowers yellow, often streaked with purple, 10-23 mm long, tubular, the tube split to the base, with 5 lobes, 2-lipped. Flowers in leafy clusters, on stalks to 6 mm long. Flowering: May–November. Seeds round to elliptic, about 3 mm long, brown to greyish.
