Damp sites in forest, woodland and grassland, along streams, swamp margins, and in other damp places. South of Goulburn. Coast, ranges, and tablelands.
Perennial herb to 0.20 m high, often with adventitious roots. Stems covered in soft hairs to hairless. Leaves mostly basal, mostly 4–10 cm long, 4–8 mm wide, thick, usually becoming hairless, tips pointed or blunt, margins toothed or entire. Flowers yellow, sometimes purplish in the centre of the flower, 8–12 mm long, tubular, the tube split to the base, with 5 lobes, 2-lipped. Flowers on stalks to 30 mm long, in open clusters. Flowering: chiefly November–March Seeds yellow-brown.
