Swamps and damp sites on the margins of heath, or in grassland, usually in subalpine areas. ACT, the mountains to the west, and Kosciuszko National Park. Occasionally on the tablelands and ranges.
Prostrate mat-forming perennial herb, hairless, slightly sticky. Leaves opposite each other, 0.2-1.1 cm long, 1-4 mm wide, margins more or less entire. Flowers 7-12 mm long, tubular, with 4-5 lobes, pink or whitish with dark stripes, greenish yellow inside the tube. Flowers single, rarely paired, at the base of leaf-like bracts. Flowers Summer.
Family was Scrophulariaceae.
All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
