Dry forest, woodland, and heath. Ranges north from west of Ulladulla. Coastal north from the Nowra district.
Shrub to 2 m high. Leaves alternating up the stems, mostly 0.7–3.5 cm long, 2–8.5 mm wide, margins entire and curved to rolled down, lower surface hairy. Flowers grey to pink, with 4 'petals' joined together in pairs, twisting to expose the whitish woolly inner surface, outer surface rusty to fawn hairy. Gynoecium 17–21 mm long; style hairy with whitish hairs. Flower clusters few to many-flowered. Flowers mainly Spring to Autumn.
In the absence of specific information, seeds of all species of Grevillea have been keyed as having one wing.
