Woodland and heath. Coastal north of Woy Woy.
Shrub to 1.2 m high. Leaves usually with sharp tips. Leaves alternating up the stems, mostly 1–3.5 cm long, 1.5–6 mm wide, margins bent or curved down, lower surface moderately to sparsely hairy. Flowers with 4 red 'petals' joined together in pairs, sparsely to moderately appressed hairy outside, bearded inside. Gynoecium 9.5–15 mm long; style red, with warts and short hairs over most of its length. Flower clusters more or less pointing up, dome-shaped to almost round. Flowering: ?summer and autumn.
In the absence of specific information, seeds of all species of Grevillea have been keyed as having one wing.
