Where found

Dry forest, woodland, on the fringes of damp heath and other moist sites, and ridges in rocky soil. Ranges and tablelands between the Kings Highway and north of Nerriga.

Notes

Prostrate root-suckering shrub forming mats to several metres in diameter. Teeth on leaf margins sharp tipped. Leaves alternating along the stems, 5–14 cm long, 20–80 mm wide, with 5–18 triangular to oblong lobes, sometimes the lower lobes 2- or 3-toothed; lower surface sparsely to densely appressed hairy. Flowers with 4 'petals' joined together in pairs, greenish in late bud, 'petals' becoming cream to pale pink with purplish lobes, hairy outside, hairless inside. Gynoecium 26–31 mm long; style cream, becoming pink to reddish, with a green tip, hairless except near the base. Flowers sometimes with a number of styles. Flowers in clusters 2–2.5 cm long. Flowering: summer.

In the absence of specific information, seeds of all species of Grevillea have been keyed as having one wing.
