Dry forest. Ranges north from Tallowa Dam. Sydney area.
Shrub to about 2.5 m high. Stems Leaves aromatic when rubbed, in whorls of 3, 1.5–3 cm long, 2–4 mm wide, tips pointed to mucronate; surfaces hairless. Flowers blue to mauve, about 8 mm long, tubular, 2-lipped, upper lip notched or 2-lobed, the lower lip 3-lobed. Flowers single at the base of whorled leaves. Flowering: mostly August–April.
