Dry forest and heath. Coast, ranges, and tablelands. Temora district. Occasionally elsewhere.
Shrub to 2 m high. Stems hairless except for young branches. Leaves alternating up the stems, mostly 0.8–3 cm long, 1–5 mm wide, tips blunt, with a long drawn out point, or with several notches, surfaces hairless or hairy. Flowers with 5 yellow petals each 8–10 mm long. Stamens 15–25, surrounding the carpels. Carpels usually 3, hairless. Flowers single at the tops of the stems or at the bases of the leaves, stalkless or on stalks 2–3 mm long. Flowering: mainly spring to summer.
