Perennial herb, rhizomatous, stems creeping, rooting at the nodes. Stems hairless. Leaves single or in clusters of 2 or 3, arising from the nodes, peltate, round, 20–50 mm in diameter, margins scalloped, surfaces hairless. Flowers small, with 5 petals, creamy-yellow. Flowers in clusters of 2–5, often in interrupted spikes with 2-7 whorls. Flowering: Nov.–Apr.
