Forest and heath. Coast north from Ulladulla. Ranges and tablelands north from Tallaganda National Park SW of Braidwood.
Shrub to 3 m high. Stems hairless. Leaves alternating up the stems, 4–15 cm long; finely divided, the ultimate segments cylindrical, often 2–3 cm long, tips pointed but not sharp. Individual flowers hairy, yellow, 10–15 mm long, tubular, with 4 spreading lobes. Flower clusters many-flowered, cone-like, more or less round. Flowering: spring. Seeding cones oval to round, 12–25 mm in diameter.
