Dry forest and heath. Coast and ranges north of Bawley Point.
Shrub to 2 m high. Leaves with sharp tips, commonly in whorls of 3–6, mostly 3–8 cm long, 2–5 mm wide, margins entire and curved down, lower surface paler. Flowers red, tubular, with 4 lobes. Perianth usually 30–40 mm long, the style projecting 10–15 mm beyond the perianth. Flowers in clusters of 7 or fewer flowers. Seed case 15–25 mm long, with a short beak and two long horns.
