Woodland and heath. Coastal south of Eden.
Perennial herb to 0.15 m high, often with adventitious roots that come out obliquely from the stem. Leaves with sharp tips, in clusters up the stems, mostly 0.4–3 cm long, 0.5–2 mm in diameter, basal sheath membranous, 2.5–11 mm long, margins mostly entire except that they are fringed with long hair-like processes at the tips. Flowers with 6 spreading 'petals' each 3–5 mm long. Outer 'petals' red-brown to white, inner 'petals' white. Flowers in 3–7-flowered clusters. Flowers Sep.–Dec.
