Forest in rocky areas. Coast and ranges south of Ulladulla.
Shrub to 1 m high. Stems more or less cylindrical, hairy. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, alternating up the stems, 0.7–1.2 cm long, 1.5–5 mm wide, margins entire, curved to rolled down, both surfaces glandular and sparsely hairy, bases squared off to cordate. Flowers yellowish green to cream, turning reddish pink with age, with 5 petals each 7–9 mm long, gland-dotted, more or less folded together lengthwise. Stamens at least twice as long as the petals. Flowers in nodding clusters of 4–10 flowers. Flowering: sporadically throughout the year.
