Open forest, ridges, and stream banks. Ranges. Budawang Range to Deua National Park.
Shrub mostly to 3 m high. Stems angled, covered with minute glands, hairless. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, alternating up the stems, 3–7 cm long, 10–15 mm wide, tips pointed, margins finely toothed, upper surface glossy, lower surface hairless, midrib sunken above and prominent below. Flowers with 5 creamy to yellowish white petals, each about 5 mm long, gland-dotted. Flowers in clusters of 10–30 flowers. Flowering: spring–summer.
