Dry forest, often in shallow rocky soil. Ranges and the eastern edge of the tablelands south of the Hume Highway.
Shrub to 3 m high; branches almost cylindrical to prominently angular, longitudinally ridged. Fruit slightly fleshy. Leaves narrow to triangular, about 0.1 cm long, lost early. Flowers white, frequently flushed reddish-pink upon ageing, with 4-6 'petals' each 0.5–0.75 mm long. Flowers in elongated clusters of 6–15 flowers. Flowers Nov.–Dec. Fruit oval to almost round, 3–6 mm long, green, ripening reddish.
