Slender stoloniferous herb to 0.35 m high. Stems pale, more or less cobwebby. Leaves basal and alternating up the stems, 1–4 cm long, 1–4 mm wide, dull green, hairless except when young and then sparsely cobwebby, margins curved down; tips pointed. Flower head single, broadly bell-shaped to hemispherical, 7–8 mm long, 10–15 mm wide below the florets. Florets yellow. The bracts tightly pressed to the sides of the flower heads have blunt tips, and do not extend down the flower stalk. Flowering: spring to autumn.
