Woodland, mallee, and heath. Western Slopes.
Shrub to 4 m high. Bark rough, compacted, fibrous. Leaf tips sharp pointed. Younger stems hairy. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, alternating up the stems, usually 0.2–0.7 cm long, 1–2 mm wide, surfaces with some silky or curled hairs, bases tapering to a short broad stalk. Flowers 6–10 mm in diameter, white, with 5 white petals, single. Flowering: August–October. Nuts shed early, about 4 mm in diameter, surface hairy.
