Woodland, rocky hillsides, and near streams. Sydney area. Upper Georges River area and in Heathcote National Park.
Shrub to 1 m high. Leaves sharp-pointed. Branchlets hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.52–1.5 cm long, 1.2–2.4 mm wide, rough, upper surface convex, lower surface striate-ribbed, margins curved or rolled down, and toothed to fringed towards the tips. Flowers white, tubular, the tube 3.1–3.6 mm long, bearded inside near the throat, with 5 lobes, hairy outside, each 4–5.4 mm long. Flowers spreading to drooping, 1–3 together, on stalks 2–5.3 mm long. Flowering August-September. Fruit oval, 4.4–4.8 mm long, finely ribbed.
Family was Epacridaceae.
