Woodland, heath, rocky areas, and moist sites. Kosciuszko National Park, the mountains to the north, and Western Slopes.
Ephemeral herb to 0.08 m high. Stems reddish, sticky hairy or hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.2–0.6 cm long, 1–3 mm wide, with glandular hairs. Flowers whitish with a yellowish throat, 2–3 mm long, tubular, with 4 lobes, and a short column arising from the centre of the flower. Flowers in 1–6 flowered clusters. Flowers winter–summer.
