Woodland and wet heath. Coast, ranges, and the eastern edge of the tablelands, north of Jervis Bay.
Shrub to 3m tall. Bark fibrous-flaky. New stems hairy, mature stems hairless. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, alternating up the stems, usually 1.2-2.5 cm long, 3-6 mm wide, tips with a small abrupt point, surfaces hairless. Flower spikes many-flowered, 20-60 mm long, white. Individual flowers with 5 petals each 3-5 mm long. Stamens much longer. Flowers Summer.
