Swamps. Coast, ranges, and the eastern edge of the tablelands, north of Milton.
Shrub or tree to 7 m tall. Bark fibrous-papery. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, alternating up the stems, 0.8-1.8 cm long, 1-2 mm wide, flat, tips pointed, surfaces hairless. Flower spikes 20-90 mm long, many-flowered, white to cream. Individual flowers with 5 petals each 2-2.5 mm long. Stamens much longer. Flowers Summer.
