Heath in cracks and depressions of sandstone rock platforms. Within 5 km of the Hawkesbury River between near Richmond and the ocean. Mainly south of the river.
Low spreading shrub to 0.6 m high. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, opposite each other, 0.25–0.45 cm long, about 1 mm wide, deeply keeled, margins and keel fringed with hairs. Flowers with 5 white to pink petals each 2–3 mm long. Sepals tinged pink. Hypanthium top-shaped, 2–2.5 mm long. Flowers single at the base of the upper leaves, forming loose heads; or in elongated leafy clusters. Flowers spring.
