Dry forest and woodland, often on rocky sites. Near Lithgow and Richmond. Morton National Park. Occasionally elsewhere. Mainly north and west of the area covered by this key.
Spreading shrub to 1.5 m tall. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, opposite each other, 0.15-0.3 cm long, 0.5-0.8 mm wide, margins fringed with minute hairs. Flowers with 5 petals, white to pale pink, single in the upper axils of the leaves, often forming small compact heads. Petals 1-1.5 mm long. Hypanthium 1-1.5 mm long, top shaped, with rounded ribs. Flowers Spring.
