Moist places. Sydney area and Blue Mountains.
Annual herb to about 0.21 m high, sometimes sprawling. Stems sparsely hairy to hairy with minute, more or less appressed, hairs. Leaves opposite each other, sometimes in a basal rosette, usually 0.2–1 cm long, 2–5 mm wide, tips pointed; margins flat; surfaces hairless or with a few hairs. Flowers white, sometimes yellowish in the throat, 5–7 mm long, tubular, the tube hairy inside, with 4 lobes each 2–2.5 mm long. Flowers single. Flowering: mostly spring–autumn.
