Where found

Forest, heath, shrubland, and rocky sites. Ranges in Deua, Wadbilliga, and SE Forests National Parks.

Notes

Ephemeral herb to about 0.25 m high, lasting about 6 months after germination. Stems slightly branched, hairless. Leaves alternating up the stems or opposite each other, 2.5–5.0 cm long, 2–15 mm wide, thin, tips blunt, margins entire or with short teeth, stalks usually 3–10 mm long. Flowers yellow, with 4 sepals each about 1.5 mm long, and 4 minute petals. Flowers in dense, shortly stalked clusters at the tops of the stems. Female flowers usually 1–4 mixed with or surrounded by numerous male flowers. Flowering August.

Endangered NSW. Provisions of the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 No 63 relating to the protection of protected plants generally also apply to plants that are a threatened species.
