Myoporum acuminatum

Forest, heath, and near salt to fresh water. Coastal, sometimes in the ranges.
Shrub or small tree to 13 m tall. Fruit fleshy. Bark rough, coarsely fissured, becoming corky. Stems hairless, smooth, rarely warty, at first resinous. Leaves alternating up the stems, usually 5-14 cm long, 7-35 mm wide, tips narrowing very gradually, surfaces different colours on each side, hairless, margins entire or obscurely toothed towards the tips. Leaf stalks 6-20 mm long. Flowers white with purple spots inside, with hairs in the throat, 5-7 mm in diameter, with a bell-shaped tube and 5 lobes, hairy on the front. Flowers in clusters of 3-8 flowers. Fruit purplish black, wrinkled to warty. Flowers Winter to Spring.
