Open forest, shrubland, and rocky areas. Ranges on Nalbaugh Plateau in South East Forest National Park, south east of Bombala.
Shrub to 3 m high. Stems angled, glandular-warty, with dense coppery scales. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, alternating up the stems, 0.3–1.2 cm long, 2.5–9.5 mm wide, cordate, margins flat to curved down, upper surface hairless, glossy, gland-dotted, warty, lower surface silvery-scaly. Flowers with 5 white petals 4–5 mm long. Ovary hairless and without scales. Flowers in 1–3 flowered clusters. Flowering: spring.
