Where found

Woodland, open areas, and disturbed sites. Western Slopes.

Notes

Annual herb to 1 m tall.  Stems hairless or almost hairless. Leaves mostly basal, to 20 cm long, to 50 mm wide, hairless, tips pointed or blunt, stalks to 8 cm long, narrowly winged.  Stem leaves if present alternating up the stems, narrower than the basal leaves, and more or less stalkless.  Flowers 5–12 mm in diameter, white, tubular to bell-shaped, the tube 4–20 mm long, with 5 often notched lobes.  Flowers in clusters.  Seed cases distinctly oblong.

Hybridises with Nicotiana glauca.
