Dry forest and woodland, often on rocky outcrops. Kosciuszko National Park. Tablelands and ranges south from west of Moruya. Tinderry Range east of the ACT.
Shrub to 1.5 m high. Branchlets densely hairy with a mat of whitish hairs, often slightly sticky. Leaves alternating up the stems, scattered or crowded, 0.2–1.2 cm long, 1.5–3.5 mm wide, tips broad-pointed without a mucro; margins entire or rough, rolled down, upper surface hairless, sticky and green, often slightly rough, lower surface whitish- or grey-woolly. Flower heads with 7–15 'petals', white or mauve to violet, and cream, yellow, blue, or purplish centres, 13–30 mm in diameter overall. Flower heads approximately conical below the 'petals'. Flower heads single or a few together, at the ends of the branchlets. Flowering: September–November.
