Dry forest, woodland, and grassy areas, often in rocky areas. Widespread north of Bermagui to Albury.
Shrub to 2 m high. Branchlets sticky hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, scattered, 0.5–3.5 cm long, 1–2.5 mm wide, tips pointed, without a mucro, margins entire or toothed, both surfaces sticky, venation indistinct. Flower heads with 7–18 white to blue or mauve to purple 'petals', and yellow centres. Flower heads 25–50 mm in diameter overall, 7-10 mm long, cup-shaped below the 'petals', single or in loose clusters. Flowering: throughout the year.
