Perennial herb to about 0.3 m high, hairless. Leaves in a basal rosette, 1.5–12 cm long, 3–18 mm wide, stiff, hairless, with 3–9 irregular pointed teeth or lobes at the tips, stalks3–7 cm long, shortly sheathing the stem. Flowers with 5 white petals, 3–5 mm in diameter, in 2–9-flowered open clusters. Flowers spring-summer.
