Garden weed. Coastal mainly north from west of Jervis Bay. Occasionally elsewhere.
Introduced perennial herb. Stem reduced, appearing absent. Bulbs round, 1–3 cm long, outer surface light brown, vertically ridged; bulbils formed from old bulbs. Leaves 10–20, basal, on sparsely hairy stalks 5–20 cm long. Leaves with three bilobed leaflets 1–4.2 cm long, 10–50 mm wide, green, hairless above, sparsely hairy and with fine raised orange dots below, margins fringed, lobes with rounded tips to about 12 mm apart. Stipules conspicuous, long and narrow, tapering into the leaf stalks. Flowers with 5 pink petals 12–18 mm long. Flowers in clusters of 8–15 flowers, on sparsely hairy stalks longer than the leaves. Seed cases not known in Australia. Flowering: August–May.
