Forest. Kosciuszko National Park. Tablelands and ranges south of Bombala. Ranges and tablelands between Marulan and Colo Vale. Occasional elsewhere.
Shrub to 6m tall. Stems hairy. Leaves with a mucro, irregularly opposite each other or in irregular whorls of 3, 2-7 cm long, 5-10 mm wide, tips mucronate, margins curved down, upper surface with small tubercules, veins reticulate, hairless, lower surface with silky appressed hairs. Flowers 8-10 mm long, pea shaped, with 5 petals, 2 joined together to form the keel, yellow with red markings. Flowers in short clusters. Flowers mostly Sep.–Jan..
