Forest and woodland at higher altitudes. Kosciuszko National Park and ACT. East of the ACT on the tablelands and the western edge of the ranges.
Shrub to 3 m high. Stems with a greenish-yellow tomentum, glistening with resin droplets, later becoming hairless. Leaves alternating up the stems, 2.5-12 cm long, 4-30 mm wide, upper surface dark green, sticky, lower surface pale green or white, sticky and glistening, and with a fine tomentum, tips narrowly pointed, margins flat. Flower heads 5–10 mm long, 11–15 mm in diameter, hemispherical to broad-bell-shaped, with more than 50 florets. 40–56 bracts appressed to the flower heads, outer bracts golden, inner bracts white. Flower heads in clusters of 3-25 heads. Flowering: spring-autumn.
