Damp or shady situations in a variety of habitats. Widespread. Common in the Blue Mountains and Kanangra-Boyd National Park.
Annual herb to 0.3 m high. Sometimes rooting at the nodes. Stems slightly to densely hairy, sometimes with scattered glandular hairs. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.6–4.5 cm long, 4-20 mm wide, more or less hairy, sometimes sticky, bases rounded, sometimes almost cordate, tips blunt. Leaf stalks 10-30 mm long. Male, female, and bisexual flowers on the same plant. Flowers about 1.0–2.5 mm long, green, with 4 'petals', in 2–10 flowered clusters. Flowers Aug.–Nov.
