Dry forest and woodland. Buxton to Berrima.
Shrub to 3 m tall. Fruit fleshy. Bark smooth. Young branchlets moderately hairy, brownish-red. Leaves alternating up the stems, 3–8 cm long, 4–18 mm wide, twisted at the base through 90°, sparsely hairy and strongly glaucous especially when young. Flowers with 4 yellow 'petals' each 11–12 mm long, more or less fused at the base, sparsely to moderately hairy. Flowers erect, mostly subtended by leaves, in 1–30-flowered clusters. Flowers summer to autumn. Fruit resembling a small plum.
