Where found

Forest, shrubland, rocky areas, and moist gullies. Coast and ranges mainly south of Wollongong.

Notes

Shrub or tree to 7 m high. Branchlets cylindrical, warty, more or less glaucous, hairless. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, alternating up the stems, usually 3–5 cm long, 5–9 mm wide, tips pointed to rounded, with a short mucro, margins wrinkled due to small warts, surfaces hairless. Flowers white, with 5 petals each 6–7 mm long. Stamens free from each other, the filaments usually hairy from the base, sometimes cohering by intertwined hairs. Flowers in clusters of 1-3. Flowering: chiefly spring.
