Dry forest and heath on sandstone. Coast and ranges north of Wollongong.
Shrub to about 1 m high, young growth hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems or scattered, 0.6–2 cm long, 1.0–2.25 mm wide, tips blunt or pointed, margins rolled down. Flowers 10-15 mm long, pea shaped, with 5 petals, 2 joined together to form the keel. Standard petal yellow with more or less reddish markings; keel often with greenish markings. Flowers numerous in dense, leafy spikes towards ends of the branches. Flowers summer.
